On the classical side, she has participated in numerous scenes programs, portraying Noemie in Massenet’s Cendrillon, the Countess in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro and Cleopatra in Handel’s Giulio Cesare. In the musical theatre world, she enjoyed playing Rose in Sunset Playhouse’s production of Lumberjacks in Love and Susan in Primary Colours’ production of Company (under the auspices of Bucketworks Theatre). She can be heard as a soloist on the televised mass “Heart of the Nation,” and is a featured soloist in the score of Algeria ANTV’s seven part series Circatrice. Smith was also a vocalist on Dan Deacon’s album, “America”.
Liturgical work includes experience as a section leader in both Episcopal and Roman Catholic church settings. Smith has served as a soloist in many wedding, funeral and other special circumstances for many faith traditions.
Smith worked as the administrative intern for PianoArts, where she led the social media and media outreach efforts. She works during the school year as a teaching artist, preparing classroom students for performances by PianoArts’ competition winners. She was recently hired to teach young voice and guitar students at Aspire Music and Dance in Pewaukee, WI. She co-founded the Peabody Mozart Ensemble, where she produced a concert production of Così fan tutte, among other events.
